Randy, I don't think that it was you in particular that Ken was referring to.
We have had, in the past, rather ummm...unique calls from the Race Control Ken is referring to. 1/2 the track on waving reds the other 1/2 on waving blacks (ugly), automatic black flags for sound (but not from direction of any of the stewards), black flags being shown from areas other than the starter without direction/approval from steward, etc..... But things have gotten so much better now and getting even better.
Mistakes from the past help make better rule wording for the future.
Randy, we like what you're doing and we are trying to do our bit, but not mess with the intent of the rule.
